A new revenue stream without opening new stores — online sales for an optical chain

Coblit took the Optylux optical store chain from in-store sales to e-commerce: new website, WooCommerce shop, Tpay payments, logistics and SEO.

About the project

Optylux

We carried out a full transformation of the website into a sales platform: a new website, shop, products and stock levels, payments, logistics and a content structure built for SEO.

“We wanted to launch online sales and create a new revenue channel for our chain of optical stores. Coblit guided us through the entire transformation to e-commerce — from rebuilding the website to launching the online shop and integrating payments. As a result, we were able to start selling online and make our offer more accessible to customers. The cooperation was very efficient, and the team understood both the sales and the technological side of the project well. We strongly recommend them.”

The outcome at a glance

  • Online sales launched
  • A new revenue stream
  • Sales independent of store locations
  • Ready to win customers from Google

Project journey

From challenge to success

Problem

The store chain sold only in-store — with no online shop and no visibility in search engines, so customers looking for products online ended up with competitors.

  • No online sales
  • Limited customer reach
  • No visibility in Google
  • Dependence on store locations

Cost of the problem

Every day without a solution meant more manual work, slower service and missed opportunities.

  • Losing customers who search online
  • Limited scale of sales
  • Untapped search engine traffic

Solution

We carried out a full transformation of the website into a sales platform: a new website, shop, products and stock levels, payments, logistics and a content structure built for SEO.

  • A new website built from scratch
  • WooCommerce online shop
  • Product migration and stock levels
  • Tpay payments
  • Shipping integrations
  • Content structure for SEO and a blog

Business results

The company moved from an offline model to omnichannel sales.

  • Online sales launched
  • A new revenue stream
  • Sales independent of store locations
  • Ready to win customers from Google

Who it’s for

Who this kind of solution helps most

We see similar challenges in many companies. If you recognise yourself in this list, this project shows what we can do for you too.

  • Chains of brick-and-mortar stores and shops
  • Optical, jewellery and beauty stores
  • Manufacturers that have so far sold through distributors
  • Wholesalers moving into B2C sales
  • Local brands growing online
  • Companies that want customers from Google

Why it works

5 reasons why this solution works

I want a similar solution
  1. Sales independent of location

The online shop reaches customers beyond the stores' catchment area, without opening new outlets.

  2. Customers from Google

A content structure built for SEO and a blog make it possible to capture traffic that used to go to competitors.

  3. Up-to-date stock levels

Products migrated together with their stock levels show customers what is available.

  4. A complete purchase process

Tpay payments and shipping integrations close the online sale from order to dispatch.

  5. A new revenue stream

The chain moved from an offline model to omnichannel, where the stores and the online shop complement each other.

How we ran the project

From analysis to ongoing development — one partner at every stage

This is how we worked together on the Optylux project: from understanding the processes, through wireframes and architecture, to rollout and further development.

  1. Analysis and workshops with the client’s team

We talk to the people who will use the system. We map out how processes work today, where time and money are being lost, and how they should work a year from now, once the company has grown.

    In this project
    • We analysed the in-store sales model and the range that could sell online
    • We planned a content structure around the phrases customers search for in Google
    What you gain

We build what solves a real problem — not a list of features nobody will use.

  2. UX/UI mock-ups and prototype

We design screens and user journeys in Figma and test a clickable prototype with future users before the first line of code is written.

    In this project
    • In Figma, we designed the new website and the shop's purchase path
    What you gain

You see and test the solution at the outset — changes to a mock-up cost a fraction of changes to a finished system. You can order the analysis and mock-ups as a separate stage.

  3. Technology selection and architecture

We choose technologies to match the goal, the budget and the systems already running in the company. We design the architecture, integrations and data security so that the system can grow together with the business.

    In this project
    • WordPress + WooCommerce with Tpay payments and shipping integrations
    Technologies in this project
    • WordPress
    • WooCommerce
    • Tpay
    • Logistics integrations
    What you gain

No costly rework a year later — the system is ready for more users, more data and new features.

  4. Building in stages

We work in short stages and show a working version every few weeks. We launch the features that deliver the biggest savings first.

    In this project
    • A complete website rebuild, product migration, stock levels
    • Sales process, payments, logistics and an SEO blog
    What you gain

You have constant visibility of progress, a say in the direction and see the first results sooner.

  5. Testing, deployment and training

We test the system, migrate the data, launch it in the production environment and train the team in day-to-day use.

    In this project
    • We launched online sales as a new revenue stream
    What you gain

A smooth start without downtime — from day one the team knows how to work in the new system.

  6. Support and development after launch (SLA)

After launch we monitor operation, respond to tickets under the SLA and extend the system with further features and automations.

    In this project
    • We continue to develop the shop — we are currently implementing an AI Sales Advisor that will help customers choose products online
    • Further optimisation and SEO development
    What you gain

One partner from idea to ongoing development — you are never left alone with the system.
