Employees' ideas turn into implemented improvements

Coblit co-created and built Glinno — a system where employees report problems and ideas, and the company implements improvements the Lean and Kaizen way.

Glinno — a Coblit project

About the project

Glinno

Coblit co-created the product concept and operating model, and then designed and delivered a system supporting continuous improvement (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma).

“Coblit not only built the system but also helped us refine the product’s operating model itself. Thanks to the platform, organisations can manage problems and improvements more effectively and build a culture of continuous improvement. We greatly appreciate the team’s partnership approach and their involvement in developing the project at a business level, not just a technological one. The cooperation was very flexible and allowed us to develop the product faster. We strongly recommend them.”

The outcome at a glance

  • An organised improvement process
  • More changes implemented
  • Systematic use of employees' knowledge

Project journey

From challenge to success

Problem

Employees' knowledge and improvement ideas were not used systematically — information circulated in emails and conversations, with no process and no status tracking.

  • No central reporting system
  • Information in emails, conversations and notes
  • No process for managing improvements
  • No tracking of submission status

Cost of the problem

Every day without a solution meant more manual work, slower service and missed opportunities.

  • Recurring operational problems
  • Improvements never implemented
  • Loss of organisational knowledge

Solution

Coblit co-created the product concept and operating model, and then designed and delivered a system supporting continuous improvement (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma).

  • Central reporting of problems and ideas
  • Submission life cycle
  • Ownership of the solution
  • Progress monitoring
  • Organisational knowledge base

Business results

Organisations move from firefighting to continuous improvement.

  • An organised improvement process
  • More changes implemented
  • Systematic use of employees' knowledge

Who it’s for

Who this kind of solution helps most

We see similar challenges in many companies. If you recognise yourself in this list, this project shows what we can do for you too.

  • Manufacturing companies
  • Logistics centres and warehouses
  • Organisations implementing Lean, Kaizen and Six Sigma
  • Hospitals and healthcare facilities
  • Retail and service chains
  • Start-ups building a SaaS product

Why it works

5 reasons why this solution works

I want a similar solution
  1. One place for ideas

Submissions don't get lost in emails and conversations; they go into a central system.

  2. Every submission has an owner

Assigned responsibility means improvements get implemented rather than put off.

  3. Visible submission status

Progress monitoring shows what stage an improvement is at, without having to ask.

  4. Knowledge stays in the company

The organisational knowledge base retains employees' experience and reduces recurring problems.

  5. Aligned with Lean and Kaizen

The system mirrors the continuous improvement cycle, so it fits Lean, Kaizen and Six Sigma.

How we ran the project

From analysis to ongoing development — one partner at every stage

This is how we worked together on the Glinno project: from understanding the processes, through wireframes and architecture, to rollout and further development.

  1. Analysis and workshops with the client’s team

We talk to the people who will use the system. We map out how processes work today, where time and money are being lost, and how they should work a year from now, once the company has grown.

    In this project
    • Together with the founder, we co-created the product's operating model, not just a list of features
    • We analysed how organisations currently collect employees' problems and ideas
    What you gain

We build what solves a real problem — not a list of features nobody will use.

  2. UX/UI mock-ups and prototype

We design screens and user journeys in Figma and test a clickable prototype with future users before the first line of code is written.

    In this project
    • We designed the submission life cycle: from idea, through ownership, to implementation
    • Mock-ups and a clickable prototype prepared in Figma
    What you gain

You see and test the solution at the outset — changes to a mock-up cost a fraction of changes to a finished system. You can order the analysis and mock-ups as a separate stage.

  3. Technology selection and architecture

We choose technologies to match the goal, the budget and the systems already running in the company. We design the architecture, integrations and data security so that the system can grow together with the business.

    In this project
    • A .NET + Angular web application ready for many organisations
    Technologies in this project
    • .NET
    • Angular
    What you gain

No costly rework a year later — the system is ready for more users, more data and new features.

  4. Building in stages

We work in short stages and show a working version every few weeks. We launch the features that deliver the biggest savings first.

    In this project
    • Reporting problems and ideas, assigning ownership
    • Progress monitoring and an organisational knowledge base
    What you gain

You have constant visibility of progress, a say in the direction and see the first results sooner.

  5. Testing, deployment and training

We test the system, migrate the data, launch it in the production environment and train the team in day-to-day use.

    In this project
    • We rolled out the system in the client's environment
    What you gain

A smooth start without downtime — from day one the team knows how to work in the new system.

  6. Support and development after launch (SLA)

After launch we monitor operation, respond to tickets under the SLA and extend the system with further features and automations.

    In this project
    • The product supports Lean, Kaizen and Six Sigma approaches and is ready for further development
    What you gain

One partner from idea to ongoing development — you are never left alone with the system.
