Consumer complaints that companies started responding to — an app with reputational pressure

Coblit's mobile app for the Fundacja Konsumentów foundation turns complaints into public cases with reputational pressure — in Poland, Lithuania and Latvia.

About the project

Fundacja Konsumentów

We designed and delivered a mobile app (Android, iOS) that combines a simple reporting process with a community mechanism. The app runs in three language versions across several markets.

“Coblit helped us create modern tools that support consumers and automate the handling of reports. Both the mobile app and the Konsumersi.pl platform have significantly improved communication and increased the effectiveness of resolving consumer cases. The implementation allowed us to reduce manual work and organise processes that were previously highly fragmented. The cooperation was very professional, and the team understood the specifics of social projects and non-profit organisations well. We recommend Coblit as a technology partner.”

The outcome at a glance

  • More complaints submitted
  • Greater user engagement
  • Real impact of complaints on companies
  • Data and trends for the organisation
  • The foundation for the Konsumersi.pl platform

Project journey

From challenge to success

Problem

Reporting consumer problems was ineffective: there was no simple tool, problems had little visibility, and companies often ignored complaints.

  • No simple tool for submitting complaints
  • Limited visibility of problems
  • No response from companies
  • Low user engagement

Cost of the problem

Every day without a solution meant more manual work, slower service and missed opportunities.

  • Few complaints submitted
  • Limited effectiveness of the organisation
  • No social pressure effect
  • Low transparency

Solution

We designed and delivered a mobile app (Android, iOS) that combines a simple reporting process with a community mechanism. The app runs in three language versions across several markets.

  • Complaint submitted with a photo and a short form
  • Complaints published as public content
  • Community comments and reactions
  • Notifications
  • News and reports
  • Admin panel

Business results

After the rollout, the client had a working solution that took over work previously done by hand.

  • More complaints submitted
  • Greater user engagement
  • Real impact of complaints on companies
  • Data and trends for the organisation
  • The foundation for the Konsumersi.pl platform

Key value

What really makes the difference

Reputational pressure

  • Complaints visible publicly
  • Community comments and reactions
  • Real impact on companies

Complaints stop being private — they become visible and effective.

Community and engagement

  • Comments and interactions
  • User ranks (gamification)
  • Building reputation within the system

Summary

Combining simplicity with community mechanisms turned a reporting app into a community-based system of influence.

Who it’s for

Who this kind of solution helps most

We see similar challenges in many companies. If you recognise yourself in this list, this project shows what we can do for you too.

  • Non-governmental organisations and foundations
  • Consumer ombudsmen and public institutions
  • Opinion and review platforms
  • City issue-reporting services (e.g. outages, faults)
  • Community-based products
  • Organisations operating in several countries

Why it works

5 reasons why this solution works

I want a similar solution
  1. A complaint in moments

A photo and a short form lower the barrier to entry, so consumers report more problems.

  2. Reputational pressure

Complaints are public and visible to everyone, so companies actually respond to them.

  3. A community instead of a single complaint

Comments, reactions and user ranks increase engagement and pressure on companies.

  4. Data for the organisation

Reports and trends from complaints show the foundation the scale of problems and strengthen its work.

  5. One product, several markets

Three language versions run in Poland, Lithuania and Latvia, and the project became the foundation of Konsumersi.pl.

How we ran the project

From analysis to ongoing development — one partner at every stage

This is how we worked together on the Fundacja Konsumentów project: from understanding the processes, through wireframes and architecture, to rollout and further development.

  1. Analysis and workshops with the client’s team

We talk to the people who will use the system. We map out how processes work today, where time and money are being lost, and how they should work a year from now, once the company has grown.

    In this project
    • We analysed why companies ignored consumer complaints
    • We planned a reputational pressure mechanism and a community around complaints
    What you gain

We build what solves a real problem — not a list of features nobody will use.

  2. UX/UI mock-ups and prototype

We design screens and user journeys in Figma and test a clickable prototype with future users before the first line of code is written.

    In this project
    • We designed submitting a complaint with a photo and a short form — with a very low barrier to entry
    • We designed comments, reactions and user ranks
    • Mock-ups and a clickable prototype prepared in Figma
    What you gain

You see and test the solution at the outset — changes to a mock-up cost a fraction of changes to a finished system. You can order the analysis and mock-ups as a separate stage.

  3. Technology selection and architecture

We choose technologies to match the goal, the budget and the systems already running in the company. We design the architecture, integrations and data security so that the system can grow together with the business.

    In this project
    • A mobile app (Android, iOS) with a .NET backend and an admin panel
    • Three language versions for several markets
    Technologies in this project
    • .NET
    • React Native
    What you gain

No costly rework a year later — the system is ready for more users, more data and new features.

  4. Building in stages

We work in short stages and show a working version every few weeks. We launch the features that deliver the biggest savings first.

    In this project
    • Public complaints (UGC), comments, gamification
    • Notifications, news and reports for consumers
    What you gain

You have constant visibility of progress, a say in the direction and see the first results sooner.

  5. Testing, deployment and training

We test the system, migrate the data, launch it in the production environment and train the team in day-to-day use.

    In this project
    • We launched the app in Poland, Lithuania and Latvia
    What you gain

A smooth start without downtime — from day one the team knows how to work in the new system.

  6. Support and development after launch (SLA)

After launch we monitor operation, respond to tickets under the SLA and extend the system with further features and automations.

    In this project
    • We developed the project into the Konsumersi.pl platform
    What you gain

One partner from idea to ongoing development — you are never left alone with the system.
